Release Notes for 3/19/2025

What's this? Every two weeks, we'll provide an update about what's new with the web apps, dashboards, and tools created and supported by Teaching & Learning Analytics.

UCI Spark

• Sparks can now specifically be targeted at students based upon their incoming status (first-year or transfer)
• Several sparks have been updated to support this new targeting criteria
• The History chart on the Spark Library now resizes when the window is resized
• Handling of custom icons and colors for sparks is now tracked in the Spark database, rather than in the spark template file

Compass Data

• The Compass TLA database has been migrated to EC2 along with the Student Data Warehouse; this is a cost-savings move and should have no discernable impact on the user experience of our tools

Unizin Data Services

• Housing status (on campus or off campus) is now available in the UDP in the Person - Academic Term entity
• The UDP Client App now supports looking up data by course offering

Teaching & Learning Analytics Website

• Updated to use the latest stable release of Tailwind and DaisyUI
• Theme updated to more closely match UCI branding
