Our Work
Compass Teaching & Learning Analytics creates and supports a variety of web applications, dashboards, reports, and data to support and enhance student success by providing timely and impactful data pertaining to teaching & learning. The two primary data sources for TLA are the UCI Compass Student Data Warehouse the UCI Canvas learning management system via a partnership with the non-profit Unizin consortium.

What we build
Web Apps
As part of the OIT Student Success Technologies group, TLA provides web applications to advisors (and soon, students and instructors) to support student success needs.
Dashboards
Data-driven dashboards powered by Tableau are available to deans, associate deans, chairs, and instructors to visualize course performance, program equity gaps, and more.
Reports
To facilitate advising administrative needs, TLA provides a series of Cognos-powered reports around demographics, progress, and performance for undergraduate students.
LMS Data
Teaching & Learning Analytics, in partnership with the UCI Student Data Warehouse, manages the Unizin Data Platform, the central data repository for LMS (Canvas) data for UCI.
