Research Support

The data used to power the COMPASS teaching & learning dashboards and reports are drawn from a variety of sources around UCI, including data managed by the Office of Institutional Research, Enrollment Management, and the Office of the Vice Provost for Teaching & Learning.

The COMPASS data set is available for teaching & learning research purposes in two ways:

  • For teaching & learning research not intended for publication: reports in Cognos available to both instructors and academic administrators
  • For research intended for publication: direct data access is available via COMPASS data scientists
